Training

We work closely with Investors in People, the CITB and local training groups to both identify and deliver the training our staff (and customers) need.

 

Since we began in 1981 we recognised the need for well trained and experienced staff and have always run an apprenticeship scheme. One of our first apprentices now runs the Ilkley depot!

 

We believe strongly in the School’s work placement programme, with 4 to 5 children attending work experience with us each year. Through this programme we have been able to show young people what the hire industry is all about, how varied it can be, and we have successfully recruited new employees.

 

 

SHC offer a range of comprehensive training courses to help their customers meet and understand the latest health and safety legislation and government laws.

We work closely with the CITB and are continually updating the training courses on offer.
