Our IPAF Operator Training course (managed through Bolton Hire & Training) delivers a minimum of 7 hours of instruction and is designed to instruct operators to prepare and safely operate various types of Mobile Elevating Platforms(MEWPS) and to obtain an IPAF MEWP Operators licence, in 2 of the following categories of IPAF:
- IPAF 3A Training – Scissor Lifts and Vertical Platforms
- IPAF 3B Training – Self-Propelled Boom, Articulated booms and Telescopic booms
- IPAF 1B Training – Trailer Mounted booms
This course consists of an instructor led training room presentation, written assessment, practical training and assessment. This course is aimed at individuals with previous operating experience who are, or will be responsible for using Cherry Pickers, Scissors Lifts and/or Static Booms in the workplace.
The course is held at our Training Room in Skipton and will be completed in one day (courses can be held at your site, subject to site provisions – ask for details)
Course registration 8:20am, course commences 8:30am (prompt)

BREAK FOR LUNCH
Afternoon Session – Practical (outdoors)
- Practical Training
- Practical assessment
- Training Course Evaluation & log book completion
All successful delegates will receive a Certificate and a PAL card (Powered Access Licence), accredited by IPAF valid for 5 years (your photograph will be taken on the day and will be displayed on your PAL Card)
