The SHC carpet gripper, also known as the carpet knee kicker is a specialized, hand-held tool used by carpet fitters to stretch and position carpets. It consists of a cushioned pad at one end (for the knee), a telescoping shaft, and a gripping head with teeth or pins at the other end that bite into the carpet.
